"Hmm..not as good as mine, but not bad." Kaylia said as she was walking with a 'tray' of BBQ ribs heading towards the ship. She'd already taken down fifteen of them and had fifteen left. Not exactly paying attention ahead of her. Running into someone and the tray flipped fowards getting all over his back. "Oh..shit!. My Ribs...I mean..I'm sorry. Mister..." Tail standing up when the man turned around. The rank. "I mean, Captain. I'm sorry. They um..were good and I was. I'll get the tunic cleaned."

Rian was walking down the causeway of the siren his head a cufuddled mess, from the news he''d just received to everything happening all at once he wasn't watching where he was going "Liutennant Strenvale i pressume?" he said turning round to face her eye brows cocked and vulcan ears on show "Enjoying your Ribs?" He said with a humored tone to his voice as he stood there trying to figure it all out.

"Hmm? Oh these? Well yeah, of course. Do you want one Mister Vulcan?" Kaylia stopped a moment and looked at the rank. "Oh. I mean..Captain Vulcan?"

Rian smiled "Liutennant strenvale it would make my uniform awfully dirty and I have meetings to proceed with yours included so I'll skip the offer of ribs" he said with a hearty "Captain Rian O'Donnaghue commanding officer USS Siren-A if you'll follow me please?" he said taking off towards his office "bring the ribs cant have you bumping into Kyss with all of those messy ribs he's awfully prestine for an andorian" He said with another brief smile.

"I'm not entirely sure why I even asked you that to be honest, Captain. Most Vulcans are vegetarian. I apologize. I was not planning on running into you in this kind of way. I can finish them rather quickly." She said and worked on that.

Rian laughed his hearty Irish laugh "Liutennant I'm only a 1/4 vulcan i eat a regular diet for the most part ribs are just to messy for me to eat on duty" he said looking at her "Its to know though that you can hoover down ribs you'd give my dad a run for his money and believe you me that man can put the calories away might be an old salty sea dog and a commodore but he's still the best in the family at eating hot dogs" he said with a brief wiry smile "After you Liutennant go in and help your self to a drink from my replicator or make a tea the old fashioned way which ever works for you"

She raised an eyebrow and got rid of the bones in the recycler. "That was just a snack really. My metabolism is ridiculous. I could always give him a try though some time. Sounds like fun." Giving a look to both and shakes her head, "Neither, I'm fine, thank you, Captain."

Rian walked in and placed him self behind his desk, making himself a cup of tea before the meeting started "Please come and take a seat liutennant" he said pouring the milk into his tea and string it vigorously.

Kaylia gave a look for anything specific, personal as she moved to sit down. Adjusting for her tail.

Rian looked to her "Sorry i haven't been able to get this meeting done sooner its been a bit mental around here of late" he said opening his draw for all the things the new lieutenant junior grade would need, ID badge, security clearance codes and quarters assignment. Grabbing all the pads and the badge he lay them out "These are your quarters assignment pretty spacious if you ask me as your senior staff" he said with a brief smile "this padd holds all of your personal security clearance codes" he said pushing the padd over to her "This one is your ID badge all members of crew were them on shift and they are only supposed to be taken off when not on duty" he said drinking from his tea as he looked over her file "Very impressive file I'm glad your our sec tactical officer id hate to be on the wrong side of you" he said with a brief smile.

"It's completely fine, Captain." Giving a bit of a nod. Picking up the badge and giving it a funny look. "I'm a little confused. Why are we wearing ID badges like we're some third rate security company, sir?" Giving a little smile also, "Section 31 certainly hated it."

He looked to her "Regulation from Admirality, liutennant i don't make the rules I just gotta tell em" he said with a brief wiry smile.

"Well they suck, I've never heard of such a rule ever." Kaylia shook her head a little bit. She wasn't that worried about saying it, they weren't around or listening. If they were, they could still suck it.

Rian bowed his head and laughed "God you remind me so much of my self at your age" He said he wouldn't say she was wrong at the end of the day she was right the badges were stupid but they served somewhat of a purpose.

"Which, by the way, I didn't say thank you for the compliment." Tail twitching back and forth, relaxed.

"its quite alright liutennant you have an impressive file and I look forward to serving with you I'm sure my tactical teams will look forward to all the training" he said with a smile "After all were going to be flying headlong into a pretty disastrous war zone pretty soon and they will need all the training they can get there hands on"

"Well that should be particularly interesting."

Rian looked to strenvale "However i have another more pressing assignment for you for now our XO is in some hot water I have reason to belive there has been some fowl play at hand with the previous siren i need you and chief mcbride and any available armroy staff to take my personal shuttle and investigate the wrecked oberth siren reckon you can handle that?" he asked looking over is mug at her.

There was a nod given, "I can handle that."

"You have 24 hours to prepare for the assignment your cleared to use the shuttle for whatever time tomorrow gather your team and report back as soon as you have anything of note understood?" he spoke with a brief smile.

"Understood. It'll be done and we're get back fine. Is that all for now Captain?"

Rian smiled "You are dismissed lieutenant" he said standing to let her out of the doors.

"Yes, sir." Kaylia turned and moved past him and out of the doors.
