Rian had settled him self in his ready room, she was a small ship but she packed a hell of a punch, it had that new office smell. Turning on the lights as he stood "Computer Play Three Days Grace" and it sprang into life as he milled about making the arrangements for Kyss's arrival, it was to be a right drink of andorian ale, but with these two anything could happen, looking down to his newly minted captains pips he smiled "What a day" he mummered as he sat him self at the edge of his desk taking a swig from the adnorian ale, waiting for the chim to his door to go and for Kyss to stride through.



Kyss adjusted his uniform a little bit before he walked in to Rians office. And he started to go in then his antennae shot up. "Oh! Almost forgot." He took out a padd. "Ok, that's done. Almost forgot to schedule comms time." He chuckled to himself. "Time to call dad" he mumbled as he walked on in. He nodded. "How've you been. Ben a while...Captain " he grinned

When Kyss walked in he wrapped his old friend in a hug "Its now captain I used to be commander" he said grabbing the bottle of andorian ale "The vintage your dad gave me for when I got out of the academy we are partacking and you have mo choice" he said with a look of mischief on his face "Please come and have a seat we have so much to catch up on" he said with a wiry smile.

"Well..you are the Captain." Kyss laughed, grabbing a couple of glasses.

Rian laughed "Its almost like where back at the academy this ready room is about the same size as our dorm" He said pouring the ale into the glasses "So where in gods name did you get staioned its been like three years bro?" he said smiling as he took a sip.

"Been trying to sort out the mess that is the USS Eagle. Aging miranda where nothing works. Now I know how o'Brien felt when he got to ds9." The andorian laughed as he took a sip. "Excellent " he said in appreciation. "Then after that those classes your dad mentioned."

"Ahh the uss eagle she was good in her day how she managed to survive the dominion war'll never know," he said laughing "Dad has always been one for bloody words eh" he looked at his best friend "Its so good to see you again it feels like so long since I've seen you" he said looking around "feels like two minutes ago we are in our passing out parade" he said laughing again "To the Siren and ever going friendship"

"Hear hear." Kyss said, laughing as well. " You know what? Its lucky that my dad dodnt send pictures too come to think of it. I wouldnt put it past him."

Rian smiled "Our dads the kings of pranks eh" He said taking a swig from is drink "it'll be nice serving with you Kyss like it always should have been I've missed your blue face" he said shuffling the andorians hair "you always had the cutest hair" he said winking a little.

"Uh..thanks." Kyss said. "It'll never be a dull moment, I'll sy that."

"So first things first we need to get a new engineer this new soverign class of ours needs to be moving oreety sharpish we have a shakedown to complete and without a chief engineer we cant move" He said with a brief smile to his best friend.

"Indeed." Kyss nodded. "Any prospects? Maybe steal La forge from picard?" he laughed

Rian laughed "You think admiral picard would let his his prized engineer go? What about your younger brother isent he graduating soon from the academy could be fun to have both of you on board" rian laughed the last thing either of them needed was there siblings but Kyss dad was the best engineer out there.

"I'll give him a call." Kyss said. "Check on him at least, Rian."

Rian admired how he and Kyss were so family orintated, James his younger brother was stationed on the Churchill far away from him at this point "I haven't spoken to james since he trasfered over to the Churchill I'm hoping now that the captain has been stripped of his command james will come back tp the main fleet where I can keep an eye on him something tells me that boy needs all the eyes on him at the moment"

"Its definitely probable. Your dad probably called uncle Dillon or something. I'm sure he's on his way." Kyss said

At the mention of uncle dillion rians face lit up "We should probably check in with the uncle at some point I feel like we haven't spoken to him in so long" rian said "maybe we should invite him onto the ship before she flys off?"

"Great idea!" Kyss said

Rian drained the rest of hsi drink "Right i think you need to go and unpack and i need to call uncle dillion shall we re-convine in the sirens rest at say 1800 hours?" he said smiling at kyss.

"I'll be there." Kyss smiled.
