Personal History		Jade is of Venuzuelan and Welsh lineage. Jade was somewhat named after her maternal grand mother. Her grandmother's name was Esperanza Jade but it was determined that the names be rearranged, so Jade could make a name for herself and not be under the 'shadow' of her grandmother. Not that Jade would have minded, though. Jade is from a historical town named Citra in Florida. It, back in the day, was famous for the citrus orchards that were rather prevalent in Florida and still are. Her family land was passed down from generation to generation. On the land there was greenhouses as well as the orchards still producing citrus. Even though the family are Affluent, they firmly believed in the tilling of the earth, getting their hands dirty by working the gardens, and doing other menial tasks. Sure they had their hired hands but, they still participated in the hard labor. From looking at Jade you wouldn't know that she knew how to milk a cow or pluck chickens at first but when you looked at her hands you could see some callouses, and they were strong, yet gentle. As a child, she learned to care for the animals that were on the family land. Definitely no stranger to hard work. She's even mucked out stalls. Due to her upbringing, Jade became interested in the Sciences branching out in a lot of the different areas. She really didn't specialize in one particular science but she did lean towards those of the botanical, historical and geological nature. She knew that there was a lot for her to explore beyond the confines of Earth and she was very interested in seeing new areas and new realms. When she became of age, Jade joined Star Fleet which was her goal for quite some time, ever since she had visited Star Fleet headquarters with her grandmother. Her Grandmother, went to go visit an old friend and attend a class reunion. Her mother went but not for the reunion but she had a business to go see about, as her mother was a jewelry designer and her father runs a mining business in Venezuela. He is also part of a historical society working to save buildings and other historical areas from falling into disrepair. Grandmother was in the field of Science. She had gone on several exploration journies. Then she met Amador Marval, and she fell in love. She retired from Star Fleet to raise a family upon Earth and hasn't regretted it since. Plus she became a teacher of science. Which helped with the studies of her family, as well as her grandkids. 2353-2358 The first ship Jade served on was the Miranda Class Starship named USS Sitak. It had a wee piece of history for her, as it was the same ship her Grandmother had served on before she retired. Jade was rather excited to be able to serve on this ship. Her grandmother was very pleased as well. In fact Esperanza went with Jade just to walk the halls of the very ship she had been on. To Jade it was almost like she was in another home due to the tales her grandmother had told of her service. Jade was on the USS Sitak for five years and during that time, she rose from being an Ensign to a Full Lieutenant. 2359-2364 Jade was transferred to the USS Aberdeen as department head of Science. Another Miranda Class ship. There she became a lieutenant commander, as well as part of the command staff, as the 2nd Officer. The second officer became the XO of the USS Aberdeen. After a fierce battle in 2364 the USS Aberdeen needed to go in for repair work, 2364-2365 Jade was transfered to the academy to teach in the interrim for her next assignment. She was part of the team of teachers for both Science as well as History. she was there for a year then she was approached to be the XO of the USS Victory which surprised her, now she was a full commander which she felt honored in receiving that rank.
