Personal History | Richelle's life was built around the Starfleet world. She grew up on Earth and attended the basic schools that taught engineering as a second area. In her secondary schooling, she went to the Starfleet Engineering prep school where she learned the basics in Starfleet Engineering. From there it was a breeze for her as her father was in the Starfleet Corps of Engineers and he taught her when not in school. Her mother was also in engineering as the CEO of the USS Avenger. When her mother was on earth on leave, she would take Richelle with her and give her a tour of the Avenger and show her main engineering an teach her as well. Richelle graduated all of her schooling and went on to enter into the Academy in the majors of engineering. She learned all aspects of engineering and majored in most of the different specialties that compromised the engineering of each starship. Between her mother and father's teachings and what she learned on her own, she blew her instructors minds with her skills and innovations on her projects. She went on to graduate the Academy in the top 5% of her class with honors. She was assigned to the newly commissioned USS Dreadnaught as her EO and it was from there she rose through the ranks to eventually become CEO and promoted to Lieutenant. She married the then XO who eventually became the CO of the ship where she lived and served happily for ten years. As fate would have it, there was a major battle with the Klingons in which the Dreadnaught was severely damaged and rendered inoperable. Her husband was murdered by the Romulans while she was made to watch and it took a heavy toll on her Betazoid empathy. Being able to feel his pain and suffering sent her into a tailspin where she needed nearly a year to recover from the trauma. To make things worse, the Dreadnaught was so badly damaged and she was severely physically injured as well, that as she was towed into space dock and decommissioned. Richelle lapsed into a coma and remained in intensive care for nearly three months before she came out of it. Her mother was stationed on Betazed and she went there to recover for the next nine months. While there she was given a genetically engineered bird that would be by her side constantly to help her meditate and help keep her in focus and not lapse into the memory of that traumatic experience. Once cleared for duty, she put in for a posting to the newly commissioned USS Siren as her CEO. She is waiting for the assignment to go through while she shuttles to its home base. |
